$135.000It’s always something when the inventor of the GTI presents a new version of the mythical creature. This Polo tries its hardest to be more bourgeois and comfortable than its predecessor, but its sports roots are still just below the surface. The engine is pushing 125 hp at a whopping 6500 rpm and the chassis has been completely redesigned. With new rims, a radiator grill, side wings as well as the markings in the cockpit are all there to remind us that the only true objective of a GTI is to be a delight for its lucky driver.

The proof of this statements lies with the striped livery of the Polo R WRC’17 which never saw the light of day. In the 1990s, Renault was a pioneer. During the presentation of the Renault Clio Maxi, a yellow and black “striped” livery (the manufacturer’s colours) was used. It was a far cry from the uniform grey that would dress the Clio Maxi afterwards. An original and eye-catching decor that would go down in history.

$139.000Fue en 1980 cuando la serie Visa fue rediseñada por primera vez para la conducciĂłn de rallyes. El proyecto se estudiĂł en profundidad desde varios ángulos, pero finalmente fue un Visa 4×4 con motor delantero el elegido. Para ratificar el coche, se fabricaron 200 unidades. Participada en grupo durante el 53Âş Rally de Montecarlo de 1985, la pequeña Visa se enfrentĂł a los gigantes de los campeonatos mundiales. Jean-Claud Andruet, despuĂ©s de una carrera desafiante, terminĂł en el 8Âş lugar, demostrando de una vez por todas que la Visa, “Ca dĂ©coiffe” (el eslogan de la marca en ese momento; traducido libremente como “Es genial”).
